Parva is a 17th Century former farmhouse idylically set just 50 yards from the banks of the River Wye (in the picturesque Wye Valley), next door to the medieval Church of St. Michael’s and less than a mile from the historic Tintern Abbey.

This small, friendly guesthouse, owned and run by your hosts Peter & Angela Vrettos, oozes “Olde Worlde” character and comfort in a relaxed and informal atmosphere where you can switch off and put the pressures of your daily routines on hold while you enjoy our hospitality and the surrounding countryside.

Enjoy energetic or casual country walks, sightseeing in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, or just relax and watch the river go by in this “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We are situated on the Wye Valley Path which passes through the churchyard and along the riverbank. Enjoy a relaxing walk or exercise your dog before or after a hearty homemade meal in our Inglenook Restaurant.

Beautiful summer evenings can be enjoyed with a cooling drink on the south facing terrace area, or take a glass or two and sit on the riverbank to watch the swans, ducks and occasional kingfishers feeding in the river.

Our Inglenook Restaurant, with it’s 14ft. timber beamed fireplace, has an intimate, informal and cosy atmosphere in which to enjoy Angela’s delicious home cooked meals, accompanied by a bottle of wine chosen from our small but selective wine list, which includes Parva wine, make from grapes grown on the hillside farm overlooking Parva Farmhouse.
